Recorded on November 16, 2020, this was about midway through the songwriting process. You can hear Payton sing "la la las" as lyrics in the verses because those lines hadn't been written yet. And in this earlier version of the song, the eventual bridge was originally arranged as a pre-chorus. We tried over a dozen chorus options. Our goal was to try and make this song as singable as possible. This version is close to our final version, although we quickly identified how similar it sounded to the immensely popular praise song How Great Is Our God. We altered several aspects to try and make it more distinct.
