1.
From the mountain and the mission Let the Kingdom come From the classroom and the kitchen Let the Kingdom come From the roads and reservation Let the Kingdom come From every single congregation Let the Kingdom come People rise up, for our time has come To pour our lives out for the world He loves So let that kind of kingdom come So let that kind of kingdom come From the fairway and the fountain Let the Kingdom come From every seat on city council Let the Kingdom come From the base and from the bedroom Let the Kingdom come To every face that hasn’t met You Let the Kingdom come Oh, come alive, let Your vision arise Oh, come alive! People rise up, for our time has come To pour our lives out for the world He loves So people rise for our time has come To live like we believe that He is love For everyone So let that kind of kingdom come
2.
Come shake this city Come shake this city, Lord Let Your kingdom resound in our hearts Your voice is like the sunset in the west That grows like fire deep within our chest Your voice is like the sunrise in the east Rising for all, the great and least May Your word move all across this place And Your kingdom speak in us today Come shake this city Come shake this city, Lord Let Your kingdom resound in our hearts Your voice is like the mountain in the north That towers high above the valley floor Your voice is like the desert in the south That stretches wide and reaches out May Your word move all across this place And Your kingdom speak in us today Come shake this city Come shake this city, Lord Let Your kingdom resound in our hearts Come shake this city Come shake this city, Lord Let Your kingdom resound in our hearts... In our hearts... Let Your kingdom resound in our hearts... In our hearts... Come with power like a summer storm Shake the valley, make the canyon roar Come with power like a summer storm Shake the valley, make the canyon roar
3.
If we look around, Lord we can see You If we listen well, Lord we can hear You These veils within our hearts are torn will You enter in will You draw us out, Lord We want to be Your movement here For our city’s hope we won’t be silent For our city’s sake we won’t keep still Until her goodness shouts Your name Her salvation grows like a burning flame And others see Your movement here Oh may Your town not be abandoned And may Your town not be forgotten We want to be Your delight So come, let Your kingdom come In Tucson as it is in heaven So come, let Your kingdom come In Tucson as it is in heaven Oh may we not be called abandoned And may we not be called forgotten We want to be Your delight
4.
You are kind, show us how to be kind You are kind, show us how to be kind You speak truth, show us how to be true You speak truth, show us how to be true In a dry and weary desert There’s a longing all around For a well of flowing water And it’s growing underground If we choose to work together Then revival might be found You forgive, show us how to forgive You forgive, show us how to forgive Breaking it down, breaking it down The hard ground, break it all down Break it Breaking it down, breaking it down The hard ground Come on and break it down Lord, we yield to You, Submit our lives to You Let Your love break through the ground!

10.
May our sons in youth, be firm in their roots May our daughters be pillars in the palace of truth May our houses be homes, may our wells overflow May our peace increase ten-thousand fold May we slay deceit, rise from defeat May You keep us from captivity May our walls be strong, if we sing Your songs If we sing Your praises all day long May You raise the roads, all the old dry bones Of this sun-burned city that we call our home If we quickly come where injustice is done If we spend ourselves for the ones You love May we loose the chains, may we break the bonds May we break our bread with the hungry ones May we not pass by when the naked cry For a coat or a quarter or a little bit of time May our sons in youth, be firm in their roots May our daughters be pillars in the palace of truth If we quickly come where injustice is done If we spend ourselves for the ones You love

about

Over the past several years our culture has experienced widening division. We've also witnessed how Christian unity has the potential to release hope and vision in the midst of fear and disharmony. The Church has a central role to play in these unstable times.

The songs on this album express a deep conviction about the barriers that exist between congregations in our city. Martin Luther King, Jr. is famously quoted as saying, "It is appalling that the most segregated hour of Christian America is 11 o'clock on Sunday morning." Positive change is happening in Tucson and we are resolved to be an answer to Jesus' prayer in John 17 - that we would be one as He and the Father are one.
